Hopefully, well-intentioned advice is turning into success for you. But what about those times when someone with good intentions gives you advice that doesn't work for you? Then what?
That's where I am right now. It's nothing dangerous, or illegal. Unfortunately, the advice I was given has proven to be expensive in time and money. So what should I do?
Dear Reader, I have to confess that over the last several years I have become more and more jaded, and less and less trusting. I don't like that. The more jaded I become, the less receptive to others I have become. How can I claim to be a Christian, a godly woman, and not accept, or trust, others?

When I find myself shutting others out or drowning, the Holy Spirit graciously gives me a poke in the ribs, and softly whispers, "back to the Bible". These are some of the places he's led me lately:
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5 NIV
Wisdom begins with fear and respect for the Lord.
Those who obey him are very wise.
Praises will be sung to him forever.
Psalm 111:10 ERV
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
James 3:17 NIV

“I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught."
John 14:26
