How good to hear from you! And how kind of you to caution us against the con men who are trying to infiltrate gatherings of believers.
I can't believe what some of these "snake oil salesmen" are spewing! They are so slimey coming into groups of the brethren like they're so humble, believing in the truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Just when you think they're such an asset to the group...Whamo!
8-9 And be very careful around them so you don’t lose out on what we’ve worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1: 8-9 MSG

I am thankful for the spirit of kindness and hospitality that many of our brothers and sisters in Christ show so easily to others. But you are so right about being easily sucked in by false believers!
It will be so good to see you. In the meantime, please pray that each of us will exercise discernment, without developing haughty or judgmental spirits. I love our community of saints and would hate for anything to destroy it, from the inside or outside.
Come or write soon, Dear Brother!

One of the saddest lessons I have learned about the power of sin in the world was when a spirit of deceit crept into our church. The flip side of that lesson was coming to more fully understand that the only hope that can withstand those attacks is the hope built on knowing the true Word of God.
Media can threaten to inundate us with "truth" one step to the left of the real scriptural truth of God. How do you test new spirits, Dear Reader, to see if they align with our Heavenly Father?
I don't know about you, but I am so thankful God's Word both warns and encourages us.
Everything that happens has happened before;
nothing is new, nothing under the sun.
