Tom and I are hoping to downsize in less than two years. It's going to mean a lot of radical changes for us. Maybe our fireplace redo doesn't seem like a radical change, but it sure got our brains to thinking about what it takes to make one.

When I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all those of a child; now that I am an adult, I have no more use for childish ways.
1 Corinthians 13:11 GNT

But don’t begin until you count the cost.[a] For who would begin construction of a building without first getting estimates and then checking to see if he has enough money to pay the bills?
Luke 14: 28 TLB

What if it didn't turn out the way we wanted it to? What if we invest time, resources, and favors, and don't like the result? Do we really need to make such a radical change to the living room?

Mark 1:14-15 NIV

If I'm honest, Advent can be life ramped up with its conflict between life and Life Everlasting. Thankfully, there are times when the Lord nudges me enough to realize my heart is in need of radical change.
And guess what, Dear Reader? Whether our hearts are in need of radical change or comfort or strengthening, our Heavenly Father is the one who coined the concept of "On Call 24-7". Whatever our need, He's ready and waiting to answer our prayers!
