I’m not the best driver. Maybe that fender bender with my dad in the car while I was still taking driver’s ed was the first clue that driving was not my gift.
Sometimes I think candy bars are an invention of Satan. I know they really aren’t, but there is probably no candy bar that I don’t really enjoy. Maybe enjoy isn’t quite the right words, perhaps savor is a better description.
During elementary school, my brother and I had to walk along a busy two lane highway to get to school. Along the way, we discovered road kill.
Am I the only one who is amazed every day at the antics of some drivers during commutes? I'll confess to not being the best driver on the road. Like most others, though, I try to obey the rules of the road. Then there's the few who drive like they've been hit with a stupid stick.
I'm not a fan of ladders. Oh, it's not because I'm superstitious. No, it's because I have many of the symptoms of acrophobia (fear of heights).
My fear of heights is so acute that the scriptural image of angels going up and down a ladder leading to heaven makes me break out in a cold sweat.
Don't you love being able to take care of all kinds of business remotely? Bill paying, grocery shopping, checking your kids' grades. It's great!
But convenience comes with a cost, doesn't it? And that cost, the digital key helping us live more efficiently is a plethora of passwords.
I love music! Beach Boy, bossa nova, bluegrass, Boston Pops. What's not to love about music. And I love the way music can express my feelings and thoughts.
