I love music! Beach Boy, bossa nova, bluegrass, Boston Pops. What's not to love about music. And I love the way music can express my feelings and thoughts.

My favorite music is any kind my kids make. It doesn't matter if it's show choir, a VBS program, or opera, their songs bless my heart!
Maybe it’s like that with the Conductor of the Cosmos. When God’s children lift their voices to Him, in pleasure, in pain, in passion, I like to think it’s His favorite music.
Throughout scripture we read about God’s people lifting their voices to him. In Colossians, the Apostle Paul says we are to “teach(ing) and admonish(ing) one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, sing(ing ) with grace in your hearts to the Lord,” (Colossians 3:16).

Sometimes it seems we more easily express and listen when our innermost selves are shared through music. How great it is that God not only placed the need for connecting beyond words, and He gave us the gift of music to help satisfy that need. What is your song today?
