18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.[b]
Matthew 28: 18 - 10
One day as we were chatting, she was showed me the correct way to play a triangle. She mentioned that it is one of the few instruments that do not require tuning and that she especially liked the triangle’s pure sound.
As she spoke and played the triangle I couldn’t help but think about the Holy Trinity. It never needs tuning and is infinitely pure.
There are times after one of those slaps on the forehead-what was I thinking- mistakes that all I can do is hang my head. How can I go before a Holy God and seek forgiveness for my latest bout with sin?
It’s during those times that the Holy Spirit intervenes for my broken and contrite heart to the Father. As He pleads my case, He gently reminds me that Jesus has already paid my penance.
The Holy Spirit blazes across my darkened spirit, even knowing every fall I would take, the Savior still loves me. The Trinity, God's Triangle, always perfectly in tune with each other and with us, and always pure.
