I'm so excited to be an instructional coach at my little school this year. I get to support and encourage teachers. Isn't that terrific! I get to provide a little nurturing to the ones who nurture a lot, FANTASTIC!
The apostle Paul understood how important encouragement is to uphold the good of a group, "So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it." (1 Thessalonians 5:11 MSG)
So what's that got to do with mayo?
The thing is, the "perfect" scripture didn't click into my brain until the middle of the night before the first day of school. So, the next morning I'm rushing through my morning routine, including breakfast.
And there it went!
Rushing through breakfast to get to the laptop, I knocked over my orange juice on the end table. Thank goodness I remembered the mayonnaise trick for furniture.
Isn't our God cool! He loves it when we love on his kids, and he's going going to be thwarted by the devil's not so slight of hand. "For God is not unfair. How can he forget your hard work for him, or forget the way you used to show your love for him—and still do—by helping his children?" (Hebrew 6:10 TLB) Only God could turn a sticky mess into a blessing!
Dear Reader, has God turned your mess into marvelous lately? Did he show you how to turn your blunder into someone else's blessing? I don't know about you, but I'm so thankful God loves to show us his grace, and his sense of humor!
