God has shown you his grace in many different ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift he has given you in a way that will best serve each other.
1 Peter 4:10 ERV
Tom and I are so blessed that Craig is more than willing to throw in when we need a little extra help. Whether it's yard work, or tearing out part of a bathroom, he's willing to step up to the plate.
Since we plan on selling our home in a couple of years, it was time to begin updating. One of my goals is to complete most of the updates soon so we still have time to enjoy the fruits of our labors.
Back to the bathroom. Tom was not excited about removing the massive mirror. YouTube to the rescue!
All three of us were amazed when it took Tom and Craig less than ten minutes to safely remove the mirror in one piece. Removing the marble vanity took a little longer, but the task could never have been completed by Tom on his own. (And trust me, Dear Reader, me helping with the grunt work on this one was not an option.)
Don’t get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up.
Galatians 6:9 CEV
I struggled for a long time to discern my shareable gifts. My daughter, Mary, is a lot better at that. Several years ago, she pointed out that people, even strangers, seem to talk to me.
Mary's right. At work, church, Walmart, wherever, folks tell me all kinds of things, but mostly concerns of their hearts. After despising my "Dumbo ears" my whole life, I realised what a blessing they are to me and others. I'm so thankful to be able to listen.
Dear Reader, if you know your gift(s), I pray you'll have opportunities to share them. If not (yet), I pray the Lord will bring a person of discernment into your life to help you open that treasure chest of blessings.
