Tom's grocery shopping for the holiday ham and turkey. I'm looking at the pictures I cleverly took last year . . . and digging in the countless boxes.
Nearly forty years ago I made Mama a ceramic nativity set. When she passed, it came to me. Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue and the whole set is carefully put into a sturdy plastic storage box. Or I thought the whole set had been safely settled into their summer home.

Have you ever found something in an unexpected place? Have you ever found Jesus somewhere unexpected?
The hustle and bustle of the holidays is only beginning. I don't know about you, but truthfully, I swing back and forth between getting caught up in the crazy, and deliberately looking for Jesus. Oh, It's easy to see Him in the fleetingly cherubic faces of carolers and kids. Do we also see Him in the cold, rough faces of bell ringers, or the tired eyes of a store clerk?
Dear Reader, I have a twofold prayer for you today. I pray you will see Jesus in the faces and spaces of your world. I also pray people would be able to see Jesus in you.
Where have you unexpectedly found Jesus lately?
On Wednesday, I'll be linking this post to Giving Up on Perfect and Coffee for Your Heart.
