Welcome to the Holy Moments Experiment!
For better or worse, Tom has taken the road of least resistance frequently during our journey together. (Okay, I'm spoiled. We'll just call it what it is.) So what's that got to do with a holy moment?
I can come up with a vision for simple landscaping. When it comes to the math, (you know, that whole converting cubic feet to square feet thing) I'm hopeless. Trust me, it's not for lack of trying.
So, we bought mulch and sand for the latest project. People, I measured. I looked at conversion charts. Read articles about depths for each. This part of landscaping is just not my gift.
After nearly allowing myself to get heatstroke working in the flower bed, and running out of mulch and sand, I had to ask for Tom's help. (Note to self: the density of sand makes a smaller bag MUCH heavier than a larger bag of mulch.)
Stopping by Lowe's (my summer BFF) after work, Tom was starting to load sand on the cart when God smiled. One of those workers who really mean it when they ask, "May I help you?" showed up and loaded five out six bags onto the cart, and all of them into the car. Score!
And Dear Reader, God taught me a lesson through Tom's holy moment. It doesn't matter whether we're the one offering or receiving it. The grace and blessing of a holy moment can splash all over someone around us. It's a two-for:)
Has someone's holy moment blessed you, Dear Reader? Please share with us! How are the blessings spreading in your corner of the world?
