As we approach Thanksgiving, I invite you to meet me in God's place of worship, or His courts. Call me crazy, but I think worship can occur anytime or anywhere. I'd like to suggest what we can bring to God's courts, what we might take away, and why they are all beneficial.
Do you have a dream, Dear Reader? Something tucked silently in your heart, or something that consumes you and your every resource?
Oh, I do hope so! I steadfastly believe the Lord places gifts in our grasp to empower the dream in our hearts.
Lord, we have been faithful in returning, but look at this mess! Seventy years, Lord, perhaps it would be better if there was nothing left.
The Lord will again choose Jerusalem to be his special city. Judah will be his share of the holy land.
I really thought I was thinking with my 360 brain. It seemed like such a good idea, and after all, Tom went along with me.
A few years ago, we started putting out more perennial plants and flowers, and rocking flower beds. But, every spring I also add a few impatiens or geraniums. I just love those bright colors, don't you?
Lord, I didn't ask for this job, you know. I was out there watching sheep, minding my own business. Are you sure I'm the right guy for the job? Public speaking definitely isn't on my resume.
1 Listen to this, Israel. God is calling you to account—and I mean all of you, everyone connected with the family that he delivered out of Egypt. Listen!
Are you a foot person, Dear Reader? Are pedis regularly in your schedule and budget? May I tell you a secret? I'm really jealous of your sassy red toenails that look oh so cute in sandals or peek-a-boo shoes.
For years I was embarrassed by my size 10 feet. An adult friend and I were chatting about fashions, etc, when I mentioned my embarrassing feet. Judy looked at my feet, then right at me, and said, "You're nearly six feet tall. You'd fall over in size six shoes!"
"God, how long do I have to cry out for help before you listen? How many times do I have to yell, “Help! Murder! Police!” before you come to the rescue?
Why do you force me to look at evil, stare trouble in the face day after day?"

Look and be amazed at what’s happening among the nations! Even if you were told, you would never believe
